Description
Our bulbs have come up and our tulips look a lot like peonies, with so many petals. They are called double-flowered and/or double blooms tulips. I have digitally painted this image with several brushes to get the color and used a acrylic painted background as a texture for the image. These double-flowered Tulip varieties have been bred to resemble the giant, ruffled blooms of double Peonies. Their blossoms are long lasting either as cut flowers or in the garden. By selecting multiple varieties, you can extend the season of bloom and enjoy these exquisite flowers for weeks. Also, a double tulip is a tulip with extra petals. OK, but those extra petals completely change the look of one of the world's most iconic flowers and allow the creation of some intriguing and often eye-popping blends. Fluffy, ruffled, big, broad, dense, bold, demure.
