Description
These tulips come up every year in our garden and we add others to them in the fall. These tulips were multi-shaded in oranges to predominately peach shades and small stripes of yellow. I have painted these digitally by hand, added some textures and painted in shades to the textures as well. This particular group of bulbs is very hardy and this image shows them coming up close together in a clump almost. ulips (Tulipa) form a genus of spring-blooming perennial herbaceous bulbiferous geophytes (having bulbs as storage organs). ... Flowering in the spring, they become dormant in the summer once the flowers and leaves die back, emerging above ground as a shoot from the underground bulb in early spring. The meaning of tulips is generally perfect love. Like many flowers, different colors of tulips also often carry their own significance. Red tulips are most strongly associated with true love, while purple symbolizes royalty. The tulip produces two or three thick, bluish green leaves that are clustered at the base of the plant. The usually solitary bell-shaped flowers have three petals and three sepals. There are six free stamens, and the three-lobed ovary is terminated by a sessile three-lobed stigma.
