I was looking at some flowers and their shapes and, petals and designs. I started playing with the pansy first and went on to the dahlia and other flowers including the rose. I decided to use more red shades and neutral brown tones with muted grays with this one. I painted in the shapes and background then added the shapes and petals on top, so this is a multi-layered work.
