This image was photographed in our garden, after finding this stunning little flower and purchasing it. I have enjoyed these flowers and they are striking in person to see. I used textures and artwork with this image. The scripture is Psalm 118:24, "This is the day the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". One of my favorite scriptures, so thankful for every day God gives to us. This flower one of so many beautiful examples of God's creation.
Osteospermum, or African daisies made a big splash in display gardens in the 1990s. They looked a little like daisies and they are in the Asteraceae family, along with Shasta daisies and zinnia. But when African daisies were first introduced to the market, they had coloring we weren't used to seeing. Many of they center disks looked as though they were colored with metallic paint.
