A visit to our bog garden yielded many pink tulip trees in full blossom. The almost florescent pink tulip shaped flowers covered the trees shouting spring is here. This image was shot from a distance slightly below up toward the sky. This is one of my favorite spring trees.

This tree is of the smaller Liriodendron tulipifera, or tulip tree and called the saucer magnolia and is sometimes called a blooming tulip tree and only grows up to 30 feet tall. The saucer magnolia usually has lower main branches than the regular tulip tree. While the tulip tree has bright yellow-green, upright blossoms, the saucer magnolia has white, pink or purple cup-shaped blossoms
