During a recent ride in the country we spotted a field full of chickens. There were two large hen houses and lots of hens and roosters. The farmer had planted a crop and it was fun to watch them run around in the field eating bugs. It was there that I captured this image of this Rhode Island Red Hen. She did not seem alarmed to see us until the camera came out. They are generally good pets to keep and safe around children, though they have been known to attack toddlers when provoked.
