Wrightsville Beach Fishing Pier in this image was taken at the very side end of the pier. It is a very wide pier and 1200' out into the Atlantic ocean. Johnnie Mercer's Pier is the only concrete fishing pier in the state of North Carolina. Located in the heart of Wrightsville beach and extending over 1200' into the Atlantic Ocean. Johnnie Mercer's Pier is a must for anyone visiting the area. It is however one of the only pier's in North Carolina that does charge a fee just to walk on the pier.
