Description
This image was a photograph taken while visiting an mustang adoption in NC to write an article for our newspaper about the adoption and get photos. Bureau of Land Management traveled around to different states with the horses and you could bid on them and buy them. All got adopted but two. I wanted the white/gray in the middle but had no place to keep a wild horse to work with her. They got used to me and finally this group turned and faced me. There were many by age and sex in corrals you could see. I could see the Spanish influence in there conformation and some had mixed breeds with ranchers horses that had been turned loose. You can bid and buy a mustang, rescue one that has been rehabilitated, the BLM link https://www.blm.gov/adoptahorse/, WHRC rescue center link http://www.wildhorserescuecenter.org/available-mustangs/ Friends of Mustangs https://friendsofr3c.com/about-us/ This was a photograph I hand painted and digitally painted.
