I came upon this seahorse in an aquarium at the Natural Science Center, Zoo and SciQuarium in our city and is so beautiful to see in person. Seahorses are an incredible looking fish, and they are fish, that certainly resemble a horse in their head shape and neck. They use gills, have a swim bladder, are bony fish and Actinopterygii which included cod and tuna. Not good swimmers, they attach themselves to the same coral or seaweed for days. Their fins can beat up to 50 times per second when they do move. They prefer temperate waters. Seahorses are great at blending in with their surroundings.
