Artist's Description

I was looking at some flowers and their shapes and, petals and designs to make a pattern then looked at the rug in our den. I started playing with the pansy first and went on to the dahlia and other flowers including the rose and used our rug to add the abstract design. I decided to use black and white tones with great gray tones with this one. I painted in the shapes and background then added the shapes and petals on top, so this is a multi-layered work.
