This image was taken early morning and this lone person was already out surf fishing up and down the beach. The red chair just added to this image, as she was prepared to rest thoughout her casting for the fish. Below the sand line sat her cooler and a thermos and bucket of bait and fishing equipment. A tropical storm had come through the Outerbanks and removed a lot of sand from the beach causing erosion. Therefore there was a drop off here of about a foot. The terms surf casting or beachcasting refer more specifically to surf fishing from the beach by casting into the surf at or near the shoreline. With few exceptions, surf fishing is done in saltwater. It is considered a sport of standing on the shore line or wading into the surf.

An image which really does capture the feeling and mood of early morning at the beach. Nicely done.

I love this Sandi. The chair, and it's place in the composition adds a lot to an already excellent photograph. With a sideways angle from the lady, and the black hoodie and black pants makes the whole thing really kind of mysterious. This is great. Thank you for shariing. Lynne
