Our ballet dance company performed a mixture of different dances and choreography, some done by our local choreographers. We attended and were thrilled to see this dancer and her moves to a winter type of music and theme. I was able to take this photo from the balcony and later painted it. It was a night to remember and beautiful experience. Ballet is an art form created by the movement of the human body. It is theatrical--performed on a stage to an audience utilizing costumes, scenic design and lighting. It can tell a story or express a thought or emotion. Ballet can be magical, exciting, provoking or disturbing. Becoming a ballet dancer requires years of training. Ballet has been taught in various schools around the world, which have historically incorporated their own cultures to evolve the art.
