Meet Sam, who was a NY City carriage horse for some time that got cancer. He was well loved in the City, and his owners had him treated for the disease and he is now cancer free. However, they decided to sell him and he ended up at a better place, at a horse farm near our city in North Carolina where they have him pull a carriage here and in other close cities for events, like weddings, park and city rides and events. He is a beautiful horse, somewhat shy after his surgery in his middle ear, but is steady on his feet and affectionate. My being a horse lover, I had the surprise gift for my Birthday, which is in the peak fall leaves time in October here, of a ride in the park with all the color and met Sam. I keep up with him and he still is doing really well. Glad you made it, Sam, and I got to meet you!!!
