This purple springs spider gerbera daisy was so joyful and the petals like spiked velvet, that it made me so glad to see this flower in all it's glory. The scripture from Psalm 118:24 came to me and I rejoiced in this day when I saw this amazing creation of God in this flower. It is truly a beauty in it's shades of purple all the way to lavender to a burgundy red. I digitally painted this image and added textures to it to bring out the color and detail. The scripture was added after that finished work as I felt it needed to have that scripture with this image. A macro image taken with a Nikon Nikor 105mm macro lens.
