Description
"Old Weathered Wood" came from a broken tree in a forest near a trail we were walking. It had aged and dried where the lines, that were the rings in the tree were more visible. I liked the mood of the lines in this tree and that part of it was broken away at the bottom, making a shadow. I am always fascinated at creation of nature and how every detail is so important and how the lines moved around with each year the tree grew, which if viewed as a stump, you would see the trees rings it made while growing. I like the abstract effect of this natural image.

This is gorgeous Sandi. It reminds me of Edward Weston's work, who photographed driftwood at Point Lobos in California back in the 1930s and 40s.
