Description
This field of coneflowers is located at one of our many gardens, the garden in this image is called Gateway Gardens, and is Greensboro Beautiful's latest garden that they are building here. Greensboro Beautiful is an non-profit organization that works through our department of recreation to help beautify our city of Greensboro. Gateway Gardens, has a children's garden, fabulous sculpture and artwork throughout the park and groupings of all types of flowers, plants and trees. This grouping of coneflowers was so beautiful and there were so many of them. This image is of part of the field of the flowers and I also added a close up in the image of one of the flowers. Coneflowers are also called Echinacea, which is a herbaceous flowering plant. Echinacea is also used medicinally often use is for the common cold.
