Description
The perfect day at the beach and always ready to return. This image was taken atop a large sand dune at the Bogue Banks, southern outerbanks of NC at Emerald Isle. We were there the week before Memorial Day just before the summer crowds descent on the island. Was so peaceful as the beach is to us and we frequent these islands throughout the year. Emerald Isle sticks out into the Atlantic at an angle facing south east and has the most beautiful blue green water for so far north. It is not named for the water though, but for all the emerald trees that covered it before development took place. It is developed really well with the trees still covering much of it between the beach homes. Many live there full time now. Taken with a Nikon Nikor 55mm-300mm lens.
