Description
When I saw this flower, I had to have this for my garden. It is such an unusual and beautiful flower, one of God's beautiful creations, and this color with the striping on the petals and the detailed center give it a unique beauty to me. This image was taken of one of the larger flowers in the group that grew up taller so I was able to single it out for this capture. I have added artwork and textures to this image to go with the uniqueness of this flower.
African daisy, or Osteospermum, has a bold, graphic look that's hard to find in more common daisies. Flowers are big, up to 4 inches across, often with interesting, eyelike markings around the flower's center. his cool-season plant hails from South Africa. In areas where summers aren't hot, such as the Northern regions of the U.S. and the Pacific Northwest, it will bloom constantly until frost. In warm-summer areas, it often takes a break during the peak of summer, but reblooms in fall. Many types have silvery-green leaves that remain attractive when the plant isn't in bloom. It's usually grown as an annual but is a perennial in frost-free climates. It is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the Calenduleae, one of the smaller tribes of the sunflower/daisy family Asteraceae.
